The use of Extended Graphite as adsorbent of oils is one of its most effective applications. Extended Graphite can adsorb from water surface up to 50 weight parts of oil per one part of its weight. This property makes it indispensable for liquidating accidents with oils.

   Extended Graphite is light black powder with low density (5-10 g/l), which hampers its transportation. But it is characteristic of all materials with a very high adsorbing capacity.
